I would like to upgrade my gaming PC soon or sometime in the future. Which components should I replace, and what would be the least expensive but best upgrades? My specs are below.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600x
RAM: 16GB
MB: ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING (AM4)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Also, I currently have a 60hz monitor, so what should I upgrade that to?

Something 144hrz would be my choice,either 1080 P@24inch or 1440p@27inch.

As asked is budget something that can be limiting.

I don't really have a budget, but I would prefer to be efficient in spending while also getting the next step in upgrades.

Depending on current ram speed, a ram upgrade is on the cheaper side. Followed by a nicer monitor. Then possibly a gpu. Or storage. If you don't have an ssd, that should be a mist, imo. You say you don't necessarily have a budget, but what are you wanting to spend? $100, $500?
