Next upgrade

Hello, Im running p4 3.4 - 450 gts - 8 gigs of ram on windows xp 32 bit (ouch) what would be the best to upgrade. my processor, or gettin windows 7?

CPU/Motherboard/Ram! Unless your board supports some core2duo's or quad's! Then think about 64bit OS!

yea my board supports q/e8800's and what not. 8 gigs of ram should be plenty. So cpe before i go 64 bit?

I would say CPU and OS, currently you are hampered by the 4GB limit of the 32bit OS although you have 8GB.

hopefully you your motherboard is 775 if so then its down to what cpu's you bios allows.
the cpu would really be a great improvement. especially if you can go for a decent quad like a q8300 or better.

you may as well get rid of 4 gigs of ram if there 4x2gig as there just taking up power. just till you get yer new o.s.
then just save for a couple of weeks and get a pro edition of win7 (look about and you can get it really cheap, some places are as little as a quarter of the RRP)

but get the cpu first as that will really open up pc gaming... especially as you have an entry level gfx card already. the quad would really show you what the card can do.
