[SOLVED] Next upgrade??

My system is as follows: Ryzen 7 3700x, Cryorig H7 AM4, AsRock X470 Master SLI/AC, 8gb Ballistix 2400, GTX 1070 FE, Seasonic 750 Plus Gold.

I have the 3700x locked at 4.1 Ghz all core with 1.32Volts.

In Aida64 stress test, the cpu settles around 87-88c. I know this is a super stressful synthetic test and in real world gaming I see 73-74c max.

Should I get a better cooler such as a h100iv2? Or would you guys instead upgrade to 16gb 3600 ddr4?

What is the temperature in the area that you have your PC?
I'm guessing it is pretty warm, because my 3700x idles at 32 to 34c and maxes out at 60-62c after hours of gaming.
I have an Arctic 33 eSports Edition dual fan 4 pipe cooler which should be only a few degrees better than your 3 pipe cooler.
You might want to add a second fan to the H7 if that is possible.
And if your room temperature is high I would look into getting a cheap window unit air conditioner and a 16 GB kit of 3200 or faster RAM.

Yeah, I could probably dial my voltage back into the 1.2's and see if I drop a few degrees. My room is pretty constant at 75-76F. I haven't touched the automatic fan curves either now that I think about it.

But you think a 16gb kit of 3200 ram and maybe pushing the infiniti fabric would be a better spend at the moment?

Yes, as long as your CPU temperature isn't causing any throttling.
My room temperature is set at 73 F.
How is the airflow in your case?
I have 3 120mm intake fans, 1 120mm rear exhaust and 1 140mm top exhaust fans in a mesh front case so my airflow is very good.

Moved Voltage to 1.27 and All Core to 4130 mhz and told cpu fan to run 100% for everything beyond 65c. Aida64 now maxes out package at 79-80C.

Anybody have experience with Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO ?

I would ask on the AsRock Support forums and see what RAM other people with your same motherboard are saying works best.

Just picked up a MSI B550 Gaming Edge WiFi because my AsRock X470 was giving me weird behaviors. And I got another identical 2x8GB kit of DDR4 3600 to bring my total to 32GB.
