Nextbook will connect to t-mobile wifi hot spot but not internet

Nextbook 8 will not connect to personal t-mobile wi fi hot spot. The tablet says I am offline when I try to google, although the tablet says it is connected to the hot spot under Wireless and Networks section.

The table connects to the wifi and internet at starbucks, burger king, library etc. just fine.

Any suggestions? Have tried several youtube suggestions to no avail. Thanks

Try connecting another device to your hotspot and see if that's the issue.

The laptops connect to the t-mobile hot spot just fine with 5 bars.
When turned on the tablet says it is connected, but the hot spot says zero connected devices.
I took the tablet to the t-mobile store and the clerk got it connected to my hot spot device quickly. The hot spot device said one connection and it quickly went to yahoo and other sites.
I tested it a few miles from home and it again connected correctly.
I got it home and tried it the next day and it was back to not connecting to the hot spot device.

Am clueless as to why this happens as the hot spot device, when at home, has 5 bars so it is not the strength of the signal.
Very weird.

I tried it this morning, but this time, instead of the hot spot box on the window sill, I put it right next to the tablet. It worked! Full connection, great speed. Problem solved.
