To those in the know, what is the deal with thhe SP97 heatsink on the NF7-S v2.0 boards... I have read conflicting reports... one of the mounting screws needs to be taken out or something... my case has a nipple that sticks up where the motherboard screw screws in (that I cannot remove), so I would love details...

BTW, I saw the NF7-S for $86 on newegg last night...

Yes, that is my concern. I have read some people sayying it is not a big deal, for one less screw is no big deal, but I am not able to remove my nipple, so to say...

I am wondering if that back plate will really be in the way...

The X-plate blocks that screw hole; however, I'm pretty sure that the new NEO back-plate does not. I'm not sure whether they're shipping the heatsinks with both back-plates now, or whether you have to special order the NEO plate from ThermalRight.

I like the sound of the NEO back plate... taking the board out is one thing... I had not planned on taking everything out in order to hammer the SOB... when I upgraded to the NF7-S, I took everything out and cut a blow hole in the top of the case...

NF7-S w/ the NEO back-plate. It looks like it clears that mounting hole just fine, and that thin plastic protective cover can be pushed aside.

:) Hey, maybe I am stalling because the sucker costs over $50... and they are not in stock at BestByte... a place that is generally $10 cheaper than newegg on heatsinks... but I have a friend that will give me $40 for my SLK900A, so I want to upgrade...
