Nforce 680i motherboard pciE 2.0?? What vid card to get??

I have the nforce 680i motherboard and my 880gtx has the flicker texture problem which I have not been able to fix. Crashes and all kinds of bull. It was a EVGA card. Anyways I am trying to buy a new card and dont know if motherboard supports pciE 2.0.

Also what card do you recommend I buy for best performance and best price that would be equvilant to the 8800gtx but cheap as possible because I am cash strapped.

A GTS250 would most likely be in the performance range and should tide you over.

the gts 250 is just a revamped 9800gtx+ wich in itself is a revamped 8800gtx i'd say the 4870 cuz its newer

4870 is more expensive is there one a little lower in price that is close to performance as 4870 but better than 9800gtx?

screw it I will get the 4870 but try and find a oem version someplace local here in minneapolis. Wonder if I will be able to max out AION mmorpg at 1900 - 1080 resolution with this card?

Do not worry abot the PCI-E version, only a few very top end cards will suffer a small performance loss using PCI-E 1.0 or 1.1 rather than 2.0, the cards you are thinking about will not suffer any performance loss, even if your motherboard is PCI-E 1.0.
