Motherboard is Nforce 680i sli.........My Alienware is 7 Years old this month and I started upgrading everything possible since used prices of that old technology are so low. I upgraded to Windows 7 32bit from Vista. I replaced my Geforce 7900 with a Geforce 8800 Ultra. I upgraded my RAM to Patriot-Viper-4GB-2x2GB-PC2-6400-CL4-4-4-12-800-DDR2-PV224G6400LLK.
I just flashed my bios after getting the runaround from Alienware about getting the file. My CPU is the Last thing to be upgraded. I'm currently Running a
"Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6400
(2M Cache, 2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)"
I'm really eyeing the
"Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor QX6850
(8M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)"
Everything I've read on the NVidia website looks like it would support This CPU.

What I'm looking for is someone that knows that can say Yes this CPU will work Or No It will not. I'm not into overclocking or Serious Hardcore gaming on the PC. But I just want this Computer to be relevant for at least a few more years.
