Hi and sorry for my poor english!
I have an asus a7n8x-e deluxe with an athlon xp 2600+@stock. I need to do audio editing. Now I am using the line-in connector on the on-board audio (soundstorm) but I want more quality to acquire music/speech from old 78rpm vinyl disks (I don't know the exact english name for these).
I have an "old" Creative Live! Player but I am ready to buy a new sound card with better A/D converters.
What do you think about X-fi or Audigy 1/2/4 with/without external module?
Are there issues beetwen the nforce2-based board like my asus and the creative products ???(I ask that because I read of issue beetwen the X-fi(?) and nforce4-based board and I have issue beetwen my Live! and via chipset).
Thank you in advance!
Ciao
