I got an nForce2 400 Ultra mobo(Asus A7N8X), and installed the newest driver of version 2.45, but still the IDE controller is standard IDE controller. What's more, if I turn on the DMA Option for the secondary channel, Win2000 Pro will fail to start. What's even more, in PCMark2002, the HDD score falls from 762 to 545! 762 is the score of my former mobo:Abit KT7A, KT133A chipset. Isn't there an IDE driver for nForce2 chips? What can I do?

nForce2 IDE driver doesn't install in Windows 2000. It only installs in Windows XP

There is no IDE driver included in 2.45 UDP, nVidia said the IDE driver will soon be realeased after 2.45 but almost a month nothing ever happen. You can either install the NForce MCP2 IDE controller driver which comes with your motherboard installation CD, use M$ generic IDE driver, or use the hacked WinXP 3.44 SW IDE for Win2K.

If I agree with you... will you shut up?
