Ok I know there are a lot of the 'Which MB should I get'
I have tried to read many of them. I am still confused.
I currently have a nForce 4, which has/is dying. I have verified that it is the MB that is the problem.
So I need to upgrade. I know the the X38 MB are coming out in a month or so, but unless they will offer so much more that not having a gaming computer for 1-2 months is worth I would like to get a new MB now.
I have:
Intel E6600
eVga GeForce 8800GTX
SB X-fi Elite Pro
Dell 2405 24" LCD - usually try to play games at 1920x1200 if I can.
I don't think I am going to go SLI, seeing I already have to buy a MB, $529 for another 8800GTX when the next GeForce are about to come out doesn't seem to be a good idea.
So will the 680i give me anything else besides SLI?
If not I was going to go with a P35 board, but I cannot seem to narrow down my choices.
ASUS - Don't know which board but I really don't need WiFi, like that some board
ABIT IP35 Pro - I heard it is a little buggy, has network problems and Ethernet is PCI instead of PCI Express
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DQ6 - don't know if the 8800GTX with fit next to the heat pipe.
Any suggestions of other boards you like?
