NFP HP2 short lock ups

Most my games work fine, the ones I play any, accept NFS HP 2 locks up for a couple seconds causing me to crash and that gets annoying. There doesn’t appear to be any updates to the game and my PC is updated for the most part. I am O/C my P4, but had no problems and I turn on my turbo fans, so it isn’t heat either. I think it has something to do with my 9800 P driver. I’m still using the 3.6, because one of the latest caused a problem with UT and I don’t really update my driver all the time if things are working fine. I haven’t tried other drivers yet, because time wise I’m lucky to just play a game, let alone trouble shooting. So in the mean time any help would be appreciated, if you had similar experience.

Please, please one at a time, everybody will get a chance to reply, lol. A newer driver did the trick. It only froze once for a second out of five or so races, which is better then five freezes in one race.
