NFS MW 2012 LAGS ,high cpu usage

Pc specs :
Intel pentium dual core cpu E5200@2.50Ghz
3 gb ddr2 ram
NVIDEA Geforce GT 610 2gb ddr3

The game runs smoothly but sometimes b/w gameplay the fps drops and the game lags i tried tweeking settings ,changing. resolution. Nothing worked .
Although i noticed something strange .My task bar shows that nfs mw is eating 70% of my cpu and sometimes it increases to 90% and then the game lags .
I really dont wanna buy a new processor ,i have heard of overclocking but dont really know how to do it .Any suggestion ?

Your computer is right around the minimum wage of the requirements for the game. My laptop is the same way with most games it will run smooth but soon as a lot of action starts happening it will have frame drops. If you motherboard supports it something cheap you can do it find a core 2 duo to boost the performance of you pc, and maybe grab a AMD r7 360 for around $100 if you had some money but did not want to buy a whole new computer if you don't game very much.
