NFS Rivals Directx error

Asus Mars Video Card(GTX760x2) Runs every game flawlessly except Rivals(everygame means NFS'S, farcry3&4, Metro, Bioshocks, etc.. although in a few winter scenes in fcry4 I have to turn of sli, which I tried in this game, same crash), 4790k, 16gb crucial bal.tracers ram, 850 strider psu. win10 64. Why do I keep crashing with directx error? Is the game just junk for PC, I would accept that and move on, although every other NFS runs great on same system.

It's probably due to missing or corrupt DirectX files.

Did you install the DirectX files in the game directory?

You can also try verifying game file cache if it's a Steam version.

I have reinstalled game at least 5 times, 2 times download from origin, 3 times from actual dvd/disk. directx check says directx12. and why do I install directx in directory, doesn't do that automatically if needed? Game will run up to 10-12 mins flawlessly or 2 mins its random in time of crash, never more than 20 mins, and then directx crash error. I think I figured it out, I think it might be the video card, although it may have 4 gigs of ram, the game may be only seeing the 2, as in only one gpu worth. Have a 980ti 6gb on route, been wanting an excuse to buy one. Wondering if this game is a memory pig. Just makes no sense why nothing else crashes, not even the original badly coded and programed Crysis disk.

I was referring to where the Dx files to install are located, not where to install them. LOL

The reason it's saying Dx12 is you're running W10, which may be the actual cause of the problem if you're not using a compatibility mode for that game, since it came out well before W10/Dx12.

Try running the game in W7 or W8 compat mode. It runs fine on my AMD HD 7970, and it should on your Mars too. This is not a buy a $600+ GPU to solve it problem.

Well gigabyte Windforce GTX980ti extreme is installed, and played 1 hour no crashes, and than remembered compatibility mode was still on, turned it off played another 40 mins no problems at all. I'm telling you its the vr in the Mars. If you don't believe me I will sell you the card, it works on every game except this one, look for it on Ebay next few days Cobratt1 the seller.. New card is pretty sick, and quiet I have the side panel off and I here my H80i ratcheting up over any other noise. LED is similar to the Mars except not just red, though that's all I use, RED leds on my crucial ram, red fans through out my antec tower, custom painted by me, Ford Cobra black pearl paint, the windforce will be happy here(ya know your jealous). First time I have bought anther video card besides ASUS in about 10 years.. thx for your help regardless..
