NFS Rivals random freezing! :(

While playing NFS Rivals on my pc, it randomly freezes for 5-10 seconds. Otherwise it runs fine but it becomes very irritating when my car freezes while free roam, races etc. I have the pirated copy of the game and have not installed any update yet. I experience no other problem with this game.
I play NFS Rivals on everything Ultra
Can anyone provide me a reason for this?
Should I update the game or something?

Just gonna take a stab in the dark here and say its because its a pirated copy.

If it was a legit copy you'd be able to get help from the game support team.

have you made the modification to make it run at 60 FPS ? by adding that line to a shortcut of the exe ? if you did that , undo it .it's what causes the freezing then coming back to normal

Nope. I made no such modifications.

try to play offline . if the problem disappeared then your internet connection is what causing it .
also try other medicine . check for the one comes with blackbox . usually they are good ones and free of problems
