I had a GeForce 2 card but yesterday bought an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro + an
extra 256mb of RAM. When I used to play NFSU I thought it looked impressive
but a lot of the features (crowds, light trails etc) couldn't be turned on.
NFSU was the first game I tried when I installed my new hardware yesterday
and I was very impressed. All light trails and effects were working as were
the crowds but the most impressive thing was the pearlescent paint on the
car . If you can afford about £140 or $200 to upgrade your PC for games then
I'd highly recommend it .........took me a year to get round to doing it
though

Ok, let's finish this, buying a new card will improve special effects. For
now I'll continue to use GFMX and when the money "comes" to me then I will
buy a new one :))
