Upgrading/Building a PC. My goal is to achieve more space between the cpu fan in the middle and the heatsink part to the right. That way I do not get this terrible sound coming from that cpu cooler.

I look at this cooler online and it seems really straight with much space between whatever it's called but mine does not look like this?

How do I fix this?

Solution
it does seem bent
but its probably cooling fine.
you cant really fix it, because bending heatpipes is a bad idea. try to see if the fan is touching the heatsink, if it does and thats whats causing the sound, bend it just a little. if its just because the fan has no breathing room, dont touch it.

you can move the fan to the outside of the cooler.

Middle fan does not touch the heatsink but it needs more breathing room otherwise it creates a non-normal fan sound when fans are running. I want things silent when I make music and work, reason for upgrading/new build. so should I buy a brand new NH-D15 or would the cooling not change much if I place this middle fan to the left side? It would not fit all the way down towards the motherboard so it will stick up a bit just like the fan above the ram from the right.

yes its fine if its just on the left side.

its a pretty beefy cooler anyway.

These fans would stick sligthly up tho.

Alternative, buy a brand new cooler.

I've gotten the mid fan on the left side now but it still makes this buzzing type of sound. I could either mount the fan somehow so that it does not make this sound/make it get pushed but I have no idea how. Or I choose to just go with 1 fan on the cpu cooler instead of 2 which might get the cpu to be warmer. I want the cooling to be as good possible and everything as quiet as possible so I'm probably going to buy a brand new one and sell this one which I bought from someone a month ago or so. 20-30$ is what I'll have to spend if I sold this one and got a new one, for me that's totally worth it to get rid of this sound.

If you want the least noise possible go for water cooling. There are lots of very straight forward WC CPU coolers.
I had a water cooler before, slightly noisy one. Probably was the pump but I researched a bit before buying this air cooler but this seemed to be a good & quiet option for me. Which water cooler do you believe is more silent with an almost the same performance as the noctua NH-D15? I'm also looking for a cooler that would last around 3-5 years or more

Your cpu cooler seems like it was damaged in shipping (or some other point). are the temps still fine? i would think you could contact whatever website you bought it from and get it replaced, or contact Noctua.

Well, I did buy this from someone so it was used before. I got this 20-30$ cheaper than what a new one would cost.
