NH-D15 on 990fxa-ud3

amd AM3+ socket or somewhat has this funky thing to make cpu coolers face up rather than to the rear of the case...

same with what I have... I've been thinking to go for nh-d15 and it worries me... will the cooler face up and blow the air out the top of the case, or will it be to the rear?

For AMD MB, the nh-d15 can't be installed turned by 90° on AMD sockets. Check the Noctua NH-D15 FAQs on the website for more info. http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=faqs&step=2&products_id=68&lng=en#4 so it will face the rear.

It's compatible , if you have a case that fits it it will face towards the rear exhaust , make sure you have LP ram modules.
