NIC Teaming / Link Aggregation with switch ASRock Fatality Professional

Hi,

I have an ASRock Z77 Fatality Professional motherboard running on my Windows 2008 R2 server. I have set up the NIC Teaming for the two LAN Ports.

So - if I am using NIC teaming via the ASRock software provided with the motherboard, do I need to set up link aggregation on Netgear GS108T-200 Prosafe smart switch - Is it one or the other but not both?

Yes, you need to setup the link at both ends. Of course, why you'd be using teaming on an 8-port switch is a different discussion.
