Nightly Internet Issues

I have had an issue with bad ping/latency at night for about the past 2-3 months. It seems my ISP hasn't been able to figure out what the problem is. At 7pm-12 my ping is going really high. From like 40ms (testing to a place near me) to 300ms at the same test area.

I've done the normal troubleshooting methods, test direct connected to the modem, check for viruses, etc. It is still bad ping at nights. I've asked other people on the service, they do not have this issue, so it is not an over-servicing issue. Also, a technician has came out and checked almost everything he could think of, even replacing the cable line. It seemed to fix it some, but not completely.

Now the internet will be fine, till about 8pm, but then bad again at 9-9:30, then normal till 11, then back to 200-300ping till 12. After 12, it goes normal, until the next day at 8pm or so.

My Modem signals are listed below:

Downstream: -1 dBmV
Signal to Noise Ratio: 34 dB
Upstream: 46 dBmV

From what I have researched, these levels are fine. The Downstream, is even 0 some times, which is suppose to be really good.

I have researched every single event, in the Event Log and nothing major there, it all seems to be in the norm.

So my T.L.D.R form question is... If it isn't too many on the service at nights, modem signal, or any repeater/node issues they could find. What is it?

It only happening at set times of the nights, even when direct connected, points to an issue with their equipment, but I am clueless at this point to what it is.

Has anyone had an issue like this before? Or, does anyone have a clue to what it is, so I can contact them with any suggestions?

Thanks for reading, and to anyone that helps. :)

make sure if it comcast modem or verizion the hotspot hardware is turned off. comcast make a lot of new hotspots by using people rented wifi equipment as hotspots by turning on on the other ant on the modem. if it not open wifi leacher issue then look to see if cable tv is on at the time in the home for local news. could be a bad tv or cable box in the house or if it in an apt complex a bad box connected to the building.

I don't using any hotspot, or WiFi. Everything is wired and WiFi is completely turned off and also has a very complex password, for the WiFi and my router log in.

As for the bad cable tv being a potential cause. Wouldn't it happen at all hours if this was the case? Not just at the night?

Also, as for the TV signal, it is fine. Its clear 24/7, just the internet has issues at night.

if your home wire and modem is fine then we have to see if another part conencted to your home wire that making noise on the line or there bad isp hardware near you and it getting overloaded. one trick to see if it your isp use open dns or google dns see if the error still happens. if it does when the error is happing turn off anything that using the cable line one at a time see if it stops. the last issue and it can be the isp and they wont tell you is that the time there servers and hardware are updating in your area..in mine it 2am. at that time my speed can slow down or for a few min the modem can reboot from line work.

I thank you for your responses, but the things you are suggesting don't make sense. It happening only at select hours, doesn't point to a problem on my end. All my hardware, modem, router, cat 5 lines, etc, are brand new. I am the admin of my network as well, and everything is fine on my end, I can 1000000% sure you of that. This issue was fine and then one day just started, when it started nothing in my network changed. Nothing at all.

I didn't know of anywhere else to ask to get help for this, but obviously this isn't the place. People aren't any smarter than I am on the issue here. lol An admin can just delete this post. No arm chair tech can help me.
