Nikon coolpix s3100 wont turn on .did alot to it but wont work what can i do??

My camera Nikon coolpix wont turn on .iit connect it to the light for lot... It dint turn on at all..what can i do?

Charge the battery? That is an older camera, it may need a new battery as the old one may not be taking the charge.
