News Nintendo GameCube modified to run PowerPC Windows NT and Doom

The article said:
Unfortunately, there is definitely some compromise here—but even a user employing a standard Windows NT PC here in 2025 would be unlikely to find any usable web pages on the modern Internet. Even if compatibility with GameCube or Wii's Ethernet adapters is intact, online uses would seem supremely limited.
If it had proper GPU drivers, this could provide a good avenue for people to develop homebrew games for GameCube/NT. Yes, the GPUs don't support most modern features, but at least you could use PC development toolchains and libraries of the era.

I think Linux is a better avenue, because you actually could run newer kernels and software on it, but I do think this NT hack is cool.

However, the system can still be a snapshot of Windows NT and PowerPC in the pre-Windows NT 3.5 days of PowerPC support on Windows...
...
Proper Wii U support for NT 3.5 or a later version of Windows could up the ante...
Wha...? This is Windows NT 4.0 already; going back to 3.5 or 3.1 would be pointless.

Articles like these remind me a lot at what was published at anandtech its last 1-2 years - the article seems more or less just rephrased from somewhere else and a bit augmented with seemingly inconsistent/wrong information (windows 95, pre NT 3.5 comments).

Can't wait to read the next "Raspberry PI turned into XYZ" article.
