I don’t know about shortage, but where I live, it is not uncommon to see some units left on the shelves of stores that sells them. The bundle with Mario Kart is the most popular due to overpriced games when purchased separately.

The big N has done better than Sony, MS, Nvidia and AMD on availability. I would call the stocking a win thus far. I have picked up 3 units without to much hassle. One on release night that was not a preorder (mine), one during a best buy restock (nephew's bday gift) and one from a walmart restock (da wife's)..all in less than a month. Haven't seen anyone else manage this kind of stock since before covid.
