nivida gt 730 2GB help NEEDED

so i know that the card works and that the psu can power it and the pci express works on the mobo which is an asus a8v-vm and for what some reason it wont work it powers up and and the heatsink fan turns on but i get no video out running windows 8.1. any help is very much appreciated

Note this is for a 4k ready htpc

Have you tried resetting the CMOS?
