I recently bought an Acer XB280HK monitor, or an Acer Predator 4k or whatever they're calling it. It runs off 2x GTX 980s connected by displayport.
Upgrading to 4k looks great, but I play a lot of games and some don't scale their UIs up with the resolution, so they're tiny and awkward (like WoT and EUIV).
But, the next resolution down from 4k is 2048x1536 (which obviously isn't even a 16:9 resolution), there's no 2560x1440 resolution between those, and I can't run 1440p resolutions in any games. I can run at 1080p but after upgrading my 22" monitor to a 28" monitor, 1080p looks markedly worse.
Why can't I get 1440p? My Nvidia drivers are up to date, it's not hidden under customised resolutions or anything, is there some stupid reason my monitor cannot run this resolution?
Thanks
