[SOLVED] No 144hz in windows settings

gpu: rx5700xt, drivers are the newest
monitor: VG248q
DP cable
problem: https://prnt.sc/100tu4h https://prnt.sc/100tuhe

thing is the 144hz option was there before and i could select it and it would work, now i cant even see it let alone use it, i have tried making a custom resolution in amd software and it doesnt work, tried every port on my gpu, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers still doesnt show.

i legit have no clue what else i can try, any ideas?

Monitor itself can limit available refresh modes.
Check monitor settings (with buttons on monitor).

there is no option to change hz in monitor settings through the buttons just checked

have you tried it in windows.
right click on your desktop, display settings, advanced display settings.

EDIT also use the display port.

You can also try dual link DVI cable. Will be able to give you 144Hz too.
