Hi, Im using asus p8h67-m lx which I belive has integrated Realtek 887 now, when I go into sound setting and I choose 7.1 or 5.1 and hit test all works, once i am in spotify or games or YT no sound comes out of the second socket. Ive tried like everthing.
please help

Yes it does it says
Lr front panel
RL rr rear panel
(Only have 3 plugs but at least two of those should provide music) it worked on Ubuntu...

What software are you using to convert the stereo (2.0) sound into 5.1? The system might be capable of reproducing 5.1, but how are you processing the 2.0 to create 5.1?

What does second socket mean? Are you certain the sources you tried were broadcasting 5.1 or better audio?

Which 5.1 speakers do you have? Who makes them? You know, the make and model # of your surround sound system.

I don't understand your question.
All I want is for music or sound to be send through 4 speakers. And at the moment only one or two work while it on YT or Spotify or games. But when you click test under sound setting (speakers setting) you can hear all 4.

4? I have 6 speakers hooked up for 5.1 audio. I have the Z506 from logitech. A budget solution to be sure but one that works for me.

On your on board sound card there are three "holes" two for speakers and one for mic right? So I want to know how to enable both green and blue jack. System seems to do it but nothing that plays music does it. Speakers are just cheap 7.1 with subwoofer . I'm not expecting to hear all 7 as I have 3 jack's and only two sockets but it should at least produce music from those two (green and blue)

I have 7.1 set from tevion
But I only have two jacks onboard sound card so you can't have all 7 playing. On Ubuntu 4 worked with no problems on windows 10 only two seems to

can't have all 7 playing

Did you just use the C word? Did you just build yourself a roadblock? Did you say that you **** have all 7 playing?

Okay, you're right. However you can use both the rear 3 jacks and front 2 jacks(assuming you have front panel audio jacks and get 7.1 audio.

The ones that are plugged into the board start with green then pink is in the middle and finally the black one is in the third(blue) connection. The order on my subwoofer is Green in the top, then black and finally pink. I then have many other connections but those come from the speakers.

As you connect them Realtek's sound manager should pop up and ask you which speaker you just plugged in. I think you know this but others may not. Within the Reakek Sound Manager you can RIGHT click those Speaker connection icons and retask them.

I don't have any on the front. It very basic sound card that's integrated into Asus motherboard. It has three jack's only :
Pink for mic
Green
And blue.
And I'm sure you can plug second jack into blue and it should play (as it does when I'm testing it). Also don't ask me why but realatek manager don't react when I unplug or plug anything. I have to go into system settings to manually choose speakers as something else than stereo
