On Ton’s last hard drive review he mentions an 80 pin cable on this page http://www6.tomshardware.com/storage/01q1/010129/u160scsi-02.html
“The MAJ3xxxMC family comes with an 80-pin connector (SCA), which includes the power lines as well. In order to use this kind of drives in standard computers, Fujitsu ships a little adapter:”
Maybe u need the 80 pin cable + adapter to make the message go away?

That is all SCSI and has nothing to do with IDE. SCA and SCA2 SCSI interfaces include Power, data interface, and ID settings in one 80 (PIN) interface not 80 conductor for hot swappable setups running off backplanes.
What it's saying is that it does not detect a UDMA66/100 compatable cable. These are 40 pin but have 80 conductors. Go buy one. They are common and standard. The visable difference is that they have smaller wires and the cable is thinner.
