No AHCI, Only AHCI RAID?

My 3 options are IDE Legacy, IDE, and AHCI RAID when I enter my BIOS. I just got my SSD so I am trying to get it all set-up. Samsung Magician (software that came with ssd) says that I should be in AHCI mode, not IDE or RAID.

Unfortunately just regular ole ahci does not appear to be an option for me. Am I looking in the wrong place?

This is the guide for my PC. It says to set my setting to AHCI RAID if I want AHCI mode. This confuses me because it's saying how to get AHCI.... but tells me to choose the AHCI RAID mode?

in summary....
my BIOS does not seem to have an option for regular AHCI mode, only AHCI RAID. What can I do?

RAID includes AHCI. It's the same command set. Set it to AHCI RAID

Hi

You get similar settings in Old Dells when sata first appeared

If you want Raid or ahci and appropriate driver to load in windows etc set raid/ahci
In the hdsk controller mode in bios

Are you sure? So if I don't set up Raid 0/Raid 1/Raid whatever, the setting I am on (AHCI RAID) is exactly the same as if I was just on AHCI?

Only reason I ask is because in Samsung Magician, it says my drive should be on AHCI; RAID and IDE are not optimal.
