No alerts?

I was checking back every so often to see if anyone answered my post, but the Alerts were always empty. Finally, I just went and seached out my post and found there were already two answers. Why don't they show up in alerts?

I think you need to click your name in the upper right corner of the screen, then go to preferences and put a check mark next to "Automatically watch content you create" and/or "Automatically watch content you interact with". I believe this was initially disabled for me too.

That is a setting that should be on by default. I can't understand why anyone would want to not follow things they say.

Mine wasn't checked. And I never touched a thing in settings until cryoburner clued me in...
