"no audio device is not installed" error on dell optiplex gx620

I have a dell optiplex gx620, i've upgraded windows xp to 7 and now i can't hear the sounds of my computer when i select the volume icon it displays a message no audio device is not installed and nothing works not even troubleshooting

how can i fix this error....please help me
 


they dont have it for win7, i also have a dell gx620 and they have only for XP,NT,2000,XPx64,redhat linux.

You can 100% get the sound drivers to work with a Dell GX620 on Windows 7 - I load these all day long :)

You shouldn't need to download them from Dell either, Windows Update should take care of this for you. Go to Device Manager, double click the Sound Device and then "Update Driver". If it throws back an error seconds into searching - it means the Windows Driver Update is switched off - Right Click on Computer and select Properties. Down the left side click on "Advanced System Settings" and then click the tab called "Hardware". Now click on Device Installation Setting and make sure it is set to "ON". If you do this then Windows will start automatically installing the sound driver for you.
