[SOLVED] No audio from tv connected to laptop

Hey guys my father just bought a laptop and we trying connect the laptop to the tv with vga cable because we cannot connect another hdmi cable to the tv so we dont get audio from the tv. I read that plugging audio cable to laptop and to the tv will help but it doesn’t helping us we still dont get sound. What can be the case how we fix it if we even can fix it?

VGA does not have audio. The TV will need to have an aux audio input to work from the laptop for audio, is that what you are doing? You may not be using an audio in on the TV.
