No audio, no internet connection, unable to change settings on new build

Hello and thank you for reading, I am writing this on behalf of a friend that has recently build a new rig and is experiencing problems when trying to access the internet, the settings can't be changed and it seems to have changed to a classic OS with a grey UI. She also has no access to the internet.

When she tries to play the game League of Legends it works fine, but when she tries Archeage on the Cry Engine it crashes to desktop within a second or two of beginning to load up the program.

Without knowing what specific components she has (I'm unable to contact her at this time, although I would be able to ask her in about a day or so) what would you believe to be the possible issue with the system?

Did she install the correct drivers off the CD that came with her motherboard? The CD contains drivers needed to access the internet and have sound.

Make sure she has loaded all of the drivers for her motherboard, and for any other hardware she has installed (such as the video card). Do you know that her copy of Windows is genuine, or not?

Yes, she has downloaded all drivers for gpu, cpu and motherboard from the manufacturers websites

It sounds like she has a virus. Make sure the computer is cleaned and try to restart after.

sorry for not giving you all the info, didn't see the end of the post. It's not a genuine copy of Windows 7

Well then, that simplifies things. A non-genuine Windows 7 may or may not work, but in any case is not supported here. Closing thread.
