no audio on msn 6.2

hi.. i cannot get any audio from my headset on MSN
messenger 6.2.with windows xp (and service pack 2), bt
broadband, speedtouch router. I can use it via windows
messenger without a problem! But, i would like to be
able to use them with MSN messenger. Would like to hear
from anyone with the same problem or anyone who would
like to help. i have emailed MSN help 4 times now and
although the help seemed very useful, i still havent
managed to find a solution.

I have had the same problem trying to go from san.rr.com to insightbb.com. I
have XP with sp2 installed, have updated my router with new firmware using
UPnP turned on and the problem still exists. Before I installed sp2 msn
messenger 6.2 worked quite well but now the audio is dead. I have sp2
firewall disabled and have my own firewall in place as well as antivirus
software which was in place before updating to sp2. I think the problem lies
within the sp2 update and MS is not saying anything about it. Prior to sp2
official rel of sp2 they had a lot of problems with it from beta users. I
guess they haven't got all the bugs worked out yet. I might try and remove
sp2 and see if that will get the thing to work again. Really is a good
selling point for MS. If the free stuff won't work why waist your money on
things you can buy because the support will be the same.
