I don't have any audio, however when testing the sound in the device manager, the volume bars rise and fall as if there is sound but I can't hear any. This is the case with my built in computer speaker and with headphones (don't currently have any external speakers).
The monitor does not have any internal speakers.

Oddly, it works when sending the audio through HDMI to a TV, but when on a monitor I get nothing.

Has anyone any ideas? I've tried all the different combinations in device manager but nothings happening.

Many thanks!

Solution
Check audio playback devices in Windows is set to speakers. Hdmi if this works must have been enabled at some point as Windows doesn't toggle audio devices automatically.

Where abouts is your headphones connected, front or back of case?

The internal speaker i think you're referring to is for boot codes. Beep beep beep.

Hi! I also had this problem when i updated widows 10. What I did was run msconfig.exe and selected the Boor tab. Then I went to the Advanced Options and then the Maximum Memory Box and set the value to 3072. Then I restarted my laptop and my audio worked.

I hope this could help.
