No Audio Symbol On Taskbar, Taskbar Freezes.

So, basically this has been happening for awhile now. My sound icon on my taskbar (bottom left) will randomly not be there upon boot. So I end up stopping the explorer.exe task via task manager, and rebooting, and It's back. Sometimes for 2 days, sometimes until next reboot.
Also, my taskbar has been freezing up alot lately, forcing me to reboot.
I'm seriously at a loss here, I have tried deleting IconStreams and PastIconStreams in registry editor, stopping and starting explorer.exe, and countless other methods I read online. Has anyone ever experienced this issue, and solved it?

I have an ASUS Xonar DGX with the unified drivers, yes I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling those drivers.

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) and do a Computer Repair.

Do a Checkdisk

Run a Virus Scan

That plus a sfc /scannow too.
malwarebyte is a good virus guard too.

If your sound icon disappears again,go on the little sign going up on taskbar,press Customize and then you will see volume,press show notifications and icon

I have malwarebytes premium, I should do a full system scan?

Also, Does Malwarebytes just check for malware, or everything else, as well?

Yeah, try that. load into Cmd and run sfc /scannow to correct system file error that can be occurred.

Is a Windows Defender scan good enough, or should I download Avast to do a scan?

Windows defender is a joke.. get avast or even avg free is fine.

Update: Malwarebytes found 9 threats, and I removed them all.
sfc /scannow says: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
