No beeps or display - BIOS_SW or CB switch?

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of help and advice if possible - I have just finished building my first PC. I had an issue with the build powering up for a second then turning off and repeating.
The motherboard I am using (Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7) has two switches - BIOS_SW and SB.
When I switch the SB to position 2, the build powers up and stays on, but there are no beeps and no display to my monitor. I am using a Twin Frozr GTX760 graphics card.
I have tested the monitor, and it works fine.
Any tips would be appreciated - online research seems to suggest that the MB could be the problem.

It maybe supported but the BIOS on the mobo NOW has to have the right BIOS on it to support it

According to the site this mobo needs F6 of the BIOS

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz 6MB 350 MHz / 1200 MHz Haswell Refresh 22nm C0 88W 100 F6

And I would say this isnt on it, because its the latest BIOS. And I doubt that the mobo has this version of the BIOS on it now

Because the CPU is a haswell refresh which is recent. It would have been released after the mobo came out

Forgive my ignorance, but is there any solution to my issue? If buying another motherboard is the only solution, what should I look for to ensure I don't come across the same issue again?

Well there's 2 options if you want this.

1. Take it into a local PC shop ask them if they can flash the BIOS with a lower spec CPU, then put this one in

2. Buy another lower spec CPU then do the above

Thats the thing you have to be careful of, if the CPU is recent, it's highly unlikely that the mobo will support it out of the box. Without a BIOS update

Thank you for the advice - would this explain why the build powers up and then switches off repeatedly when then SB switch is set to the first position, but the build powers up with no beeps or display when the SB switch is in the second position?

What are the chances that the mobo has an outdated BIOS for the CPU I am using?

Thank you Paul, I have contacted a local PC shop about testing the mobo with a lower spec CPU and will let you know the outcome.

I'm having a very similar problem with g1 sniper m5 mobo. OP update? Lights and fans on continuously on sb 2 and both backup and main bios, but no beep or visual I realized my 4690k cpu was incompatible with current bios, so I purchased a g1840 which is definitely compatible according to Intel compatibility. PSU, RAM work in other system. Will troubleshoot ram and gpu again, and warranty the board back to gigabyte in a few days.
