No bios appearing

This is my first build and I have a ryzen 5 2600, Asus prime b450m-k motherboard and a gtx 1050 ti 4gb.
Everytime I try and start the computer so I can install windows, the monitor I'm using doesn't give off any signal that something is plugged in. I have a hdmi running from the TV to the graphics card hdmi and a standard USB keyboard. Ive tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, I've installed an optical drive and put the support disk in but that did nothing either. Is their something I've done wrong? I've made sure that everything is plugged into the right spots but still nothing

Do you have a 120V. power cable installed in the monitor? Is there an onboard video connector on the MB that you can use to get started? Do you have a battery backup device that needs to be turned on or allowed to charge up? Surge protector?

Does your 1050 ti have a power connection on it?
