No boot after changing memory voltage and timing.

Hey everyone,

I have 4GB of Patriot DDR2-8500 1066Mhz ram. MSI afterburner tells me that it is only running at 400Mhz. It also says it is using 1.965V and the factory specs recommends 2.1V. My board is an ASUS M4A785-M and it has the worst BIOS I have ever seen. No where does it tell me the ram Mhz or voltage, or even let me change it for that matter.

How can I get my ram to the full 1066Mhz capacity?

Not familiar with your gear but MSI Afterburner is throwing me off since it's for gpu's.
You would want CPU-Z to monitor your ram settings.
This OZC forum post might help since it relates to setting up 1066Mhz ram on the same mobo.

Hmm thank you for that ref.

I found where to change the timing and voltage in the BIOS(it was hiding).
I set the voltage to 2.1(factory specs) and timming to 5-5-5-15 (tCL=2 tRCD=3 tRP=2 tRAS=5)

And now my system wont boot up. The power comes on and the fans run and that is all. I cannot even get to the BIOS now. It just sits there...I am on my laptop now.
