Question no boot key; constant reboot

Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire RT-131T that was refurbished and on sale for cheap, but I tried installing Lubuntu (18.10) and Ubuntu (18.04.02) on it and now it won't start up the OS. I have gone through this process trying to install either OS. It'll display the Acer splash screen, then it'll flash a quick message saying that there was no Boot Key found. The next lines say that the computer made a new boot file for L/ubuntu, and then that it is going to reboot. Then the computer reboots and does the whole thing over again. I let it do this to itself for hours one day...
The computer is still able to start up if it's booting from a USB, but in that situation I can only use the trial version, no full installation.

There is currently only Lubuntu (I think) installed on it. The installation (I think) went fine but at the final step where we need to reboot the computer, that's where this problem shows up.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Grace
