no boot, no post. Mobo, VGA light and Boot device light.

I've had my system for about three four months now and it never had this problem, but recently me and my room-mates decide to move our things around. In short, after I moved my computer, it stopped booting. And then it gets a bit complicated, let me split it into a few parts.

1. I attempt to boot, both VGA and boot device lights up. I turn it off by pressing the power button and rebooting immediately, it either goes into #2 or straight to #3.

2. After reboot, the lights flash from one to another (all, including CPU and DRAM, not sure if this is normal), eventually stopping on VGA which stays lit. Then I attempt the same thing by powering off and on.

3. The lights all flash on and off, then it finally boots.

Mobo: Asus z97 - A
CPU: i7 4790K
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7950 OC'd
PSU: EVGA NEX650G

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

When you moved the system, the mobo may have shifted slightly (moving it actually warps the case slightly, causing the mobo to move). I would remove the cards, loosen the screws on the mobo (into the case) and make sure the mobo is seated properly, then tighten down the screws (don't tighten too much!). Replace the card and then try to reboot. You should also check all the power and data connections including the case connections to ensure everything is seated properly. Last, check to make sure the cooler is firmly attached to the mobo.

If it still doesn't work - try bread boarding it (take it out of the case) and try booting with only one stick of RAM.

I'll probably have to wait until the weekend before I take out the motherboard.
However, in the meantime, I have already unplugged and replugged all the cables and reseated the GPU in a new slot.
And like I mentioned, it does boot, just goes through an extremely complicated process of turning on and off, could it be a PSU problem?

Still not entirely sure what's wrong, changing outlets helped for like three boots and then I moved back the computer which messed everything up again.

Now I'm currently breadboarding. The mobo alone theoretically boots no problem, just that it stops at boot device LED.

with the GPU seated and powered however, makes the system unusable unless I do the same thing where I turn in off and turn it on immediately, then it would enter bios. (no SSD/HDD attached atm)

EDIT: just tested with HDMI and mobo alone, enters bios no problem. Could it be a GPU issue?

Thanks for your help so far, feeling like I'm getting close to the solution.

Here's what's going on:

Rebuilt my system without the GPU. Boots no problem.

However, it felt like the GPU may have been underpowered, so I went ahead and borrowed a GPU to independently power the GPU (if this is bad practice, please let me know) And there is no VGA light, but the display remains without signal.

Like, I mentioned, I also borrowed a GPU the previous day and was unable to boot no matter what method (this was using one PSU, so I may need to try the dual PSU method to see if it's underpowering)

I'm currently theorizing that I may have a broken GPU and/or PSU right now.

EDIT: Tried again with friend's GPU with both single and double PSU's. Single one resulted in the same error. Double resulted in no errors but had no display output (tried both HDMI and displayport)
As of now, I'm almost certain that I have a broken PSU, and potentially a broken mobo.
