Hi everyone, My friend's packard bell comp. that runs on windows 8, can be started, show the logo and then afterwards, it says; no bootable drive - restart your comp. Then when I press f2after the show of the logo, it brings me to the bios menu but when I load setup defaults, it hangs. When I try to change the booting order, i can select them, but when I try tp save the changes it hangs as well. It doesn't save any change I make in the booting order. What do you think is wrong. Can you help me find the solution to this? Thanks in advance...

Hi there almondal,

One thing you can do is to just attach the drive with different cables to a different SATA port. In case the issue persists, you can attach the HDD to another system and scan it with some data recovery tool. You may be able to recover some of the data unless the HDD has completely failed.
