No Cable Connected

noob builder here, trying my first pc build. When I connected the hdmi cable from my graphics card to my monitor, the monitor reads "no cable connected". Is this a problem with my graphics card? If so how can I fix it

Hi Jeremy,

Sorry if this seems obvious, but make sure the right source on the monitor is selected. Also make sure the graphics card is completely inserted. Maybe removing and re-installing it would be a good idea.
