i just wonder if its possible to have the computer outside the case (no case) or use like a stand for the motherboard and stuff.

It is common for people that need to have quick access to the hardware or litcoin miners, however the typical user should use a case to protect their hardware

Possible, yes. I've seen it done.
Often when building a machine it may be built outside the case to assure that everything works before mounting it in the case.
But not exactly recommended for long term use.
The pieces would be vulnerable to environment risks when not secured inside a case. Unintentional knocks, static discharge, curiosity seekers.
