No cd/dvd error 39!

Hello,
I have a toshiba satellit L505D-S5983 with Windows 7. I can't seem to figure out how to fix the code 39. I went onto Toshiba's website and downloaded the driver for the DVD player, but that didn't fix the problem! Can anyone help?
