Question no cooling cpu

the cpu is not getting cooled by my coolermaster ml 240r. i guess it is not plugged in correctly. but i'm not sure. everytime it starts up it goes up to a 94 degrees.
can there be a different problem? yes i took off the plastic and there is thermal compound on it. hope somebody can help me.

Have you plugged the pump to 3pin or 4pin fan connector and set the rpm to max?

i have plugged in the 3 pin to the cpu fan header, the rpm is set to max

Which CPU and motherboard do you have and what monitoring software do you use?

3-pin fan headers cannot regulate the fan's rpm unless your motherboard has a DC control feature. 4-pin connectors can. Pumps and fans usually run at their max rpm by default when connected to a 3-pin connector though.

I have a risen 3 2400g and a airbus gaming WiFi 7 motherboard. Maybe you know if I can plug it in elsewhere on the motherboard?
