No detection of HDD

Mother board not detecting HDD but detecting SSD I believe I have wires hooked up correctly on MOBO

Asrock z97 Fatality Killer

Try restarting, your MOBO might not be able to hot swap.

If you just connected a brand new HDD you have to set it up to be usable by the computer by creating a partition. Assuming your in Windows, hit start+Q and search for Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions. Here you can create a partition on the drive that you can use.
