No device drivers for external hard drive?

My external drive is viewable in My Computer, but when I try to open it, it says the device has no drivers. Nothing (that I know of) happened to it, it simply stopped working one day. Is there a way to get the drivers without formatting it? I have a ton of photos on there that I really want. Before everyone says that I should have backed my info up, I was traveling and had no way to do so.

Go to your ExHDD's manufactures website and find drivers for it.

Hi there lrweb7,

You can go to Device Manager and do the following: Right click on the drive and uninstall it -> unplug it -> reboot your system -> plug the drive back in and wait to automatically install the drivers.

In case the issue persists, you can try the drive on another system.
