We were all suddenly disconnected from our wifi yesterday. Saw the sign on my laptop saying no internet access, so, I restarted our router waited for it, then back to normal or so we thought, after that sudden disconnection none of us could connect to our wifi unless we're beside the router itself. I'm pretty sure nothing's wrong with our phones and laptops cause we can connect only you have to be close to the router. If you move about 10-15 feet, i guess, you start losing connection. We can still detect the signal on our devices/gadgets but all it does is connecting and connecting and never connects really. I did everything I could as far as my knowledge of this stuff can go. Restarted, Changed Channels, Changed SSID, Changed Passwords, I even had to reset it and nothing happened. Any advice?

Solution
The router channel signal may be to weak, and changing the channel in the Router configuration may help boost the signal. I don't really know and can't find what channel is used for the Auto setting, but it would be obvious to use a mid strenght signal so if you have the router on Auto, use channel 6 next apply it, and try browsing... increase the channel number (signal strenght) as/if necessary.

Access your router typing the Access IP in any web browser > click Wireless > Basic tab > Channel > change the channel

Hey, thank you for your response. Well, my router is NexLogic and I dont really get what you're suggesting by using my phone to look for interference, how do i do that? Sorry if that sounded dumb. Not really good at this stuff.

it is an ap for phones, it permits to see signal strength of your router also permits to see if there is many routers nearby on the same Wi-Fi channel and will also show the channel with least amount of people on it guiding you to move (if needed) your router channel. Now that said, I am not familiar or surprisingly could not find anything about NexLogic, can you read the product label and find me a model no? or product barcode number?
