as the subject says above
when i go to display adaptors settings > advanced > adapter
no adaptor type is shown
no adpator info is shown .....all categories <unavalable>
click on properties
the adaptor shown is Vgasave non plug and play drivers
manufacturer and location unknown...
my problem is the old video card died and the new one radeon 9200
won't install until a standard vga adaptor is present...
strangely, the system seems to be working fine...how do i get vga
standard adapter to appear??? i tried an old S3 virge PCI which worked
ok and the vga standard adapter was listed...as soon as i put the
radeon in th agp slot and rebooted....the vga standard adapter was
gone again...
any tips???

I think you answered your own question. Reinstall the S3 Virge, then
install your radeon 9200. Then uninstall the S3 virge, if you want

Did you try to go - via F8 - into the VGA mode when booting and to
delete residuals in the device manager (check 'show hidden devices')
and then to install the Radeon driver?
