Question No display after changing CPU

I have a A320M-S2H motherboard & a GeForce 1060 6gb GPU & 8gb of ram.

When I bought my PC it came with a AMD A10 9700 CPU and today I installed a Ryzen 5 2600 and I’ve got no display on my monitor. Everything turns on fine and I know my monitor is fine because I plugged my Xbox into it and it works fine. Please help

The A10 has an integrated GPU, the Ryzen 2600 does not. Is your display connected directly to your GTX 1060 or to a video connection on your motherboard?

I’ve got a HDMI cable plugged into the GTX 1060 and still get no display

Did you update the motherboard BIOS to the most recent version BEFORE installing the Ryzen? This is required to make the motherboard compatible with the second generation Ryzen.

I did not. Am I going to have to put my old cpu back in and update it and the re install the 2600?

Yes, install the A10, and then perform the update. Swap upon completion and you should be good to go.

I have downloaded the f20 files onto my hard drive what should I do now?

You should install the F32 version, not the older one. You need F20 or newer, might as well go with the most current.

In the utilities section of downloads, there is a tool called @bios that you can use to update the BIOS from Windows. You can also perform directly from the BIOS itself. Just copy the file to a USB drive to make easy to find.

okay do I need to download the APP Centrr utility also?
